Giving the Gift of Warmth

Posted by

While normally we warm the winter months with hot tubs around here, this fall we were invited to do something a little different. SpaDepot.com joined our local Fire Department in their mission to provide new USA made winter coats for children in need in our community.

SpaDepot.com & Tumwater WA Fire Department

Tumwater Firefighters Local 2409 partners with Operation Warm: Coats for Kids Foundation to supply children with brand new coats. Not only do these coats meet the basic necessity of warmth, they also provide feelings of self-worth and dignity.

Understanding the importance of this mission, our staff was very excited to be given the opportunity to give back in our community. After proposing the idea to our CEO David Williams, he eagerly offered to match all efforts made by our team.

GoalTracker

With our plan in action we set a goal for staff to raise 20 coats for a total of 40 coats after the company’s match. We created a fun chart, and day by day we kept track of our team’s efforts to reach our target. We had a blast working together collecting donations from August 27th to September 25th, and through the astounding generosity of our team were able to quickly meet our goal.

We are so proud to have been able to be a part of this effort and can’t wait to contribute again next year!
